JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. -- Junior Walker Crosby (-8), who ended the opening round tied for the lead, fired a 2nd consecutive 68 and ended his 2nd round in the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in a  is tie for 2nd to lead Furman at the par-72, 7,147-yard Blackthorne Club at the Ridges on Monday.

A native of Memphis, Tenn., Crosby played virtually flawless golf on Monday, posting 5 birdies, including 3 in 4 holes at one point, with just 1 bogey on No. 17.  He is in a 3-way tie, 2 strokes back of leader Remi Chartier (-10) of East Tennessee State, who has a 2-round total of 68-66=134.

Senior Jack Crosby (-6) is in 8th place after recording a team-high 7 birdies in his first 10 holes, inducing 4 straight birdies from Nos. 4 through 7 and 6 birdies on Monday’s front nine.  He paced the Paladins with a 5-under 67 in round 2. 

Host East Tennessee State (-24) holds a 2-stroke lead over Louisville (-22) entering the final round. Charlotte (-18) is in 3rd, followed by College of Charleston (-12) in 4th.  Maryland (-11) rounds out the top 5.  Furman (-7) is in 11th place, ahead of foe Chattanooga (-4) and Villanova (-22), among others.

The Paladins tee off of No. 10 beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the final round of the 54-hole tournament and will play in a group with Chattanooga and Alabama Birmingham.
